Which types of certificate exist
Three levels of validation, from the fastest to the strictest
Domain validation (DV)
The authority confirms that the domain is yours and issues the certificate in 5–15 minutes. Fits websites, blogs, staging and internal projects.
Organization validation (OV)
The legal entity is checked as well: the company name goes into the certificate. The usual choice for corporate sites and online shops.
Extended validation (EV)
The strictest check of an organization against documents and registries. Chosen by banks, payment services and large retailers.
How a certificate is issued
Four steps from order to working HTTPS
Order in the panel
You choose the certificate and the term and pay — the order goes straight to the certificate authority.
CSR request
You generate the request on your server or in the panel. If that is inconvenient, we do it for you as part of the installation service.
Domain validation
The authority checks that the domain is yours: by email to a role address, by a DNS record or by a file on the site. OV and EV add a company check.
Installation on the server
You receive the certificate and the intermediate chain, install them on the web server and switch the site to HTTPS.
How a paid certificate differs from a free one
Let's Encrypt confirms domain ownership only and is issued for 90 days. For a personal site that is enough. The difference starts where guarantees are needed:
- Company validation. An OV or EV certificate carries the name of the legal entity, so the visitor sees who is behind the site.
- CA warranty — from $10,000 to $2,000,000 in case the authority issues a certificate in error.
- Support. Issuance, validation and installation are handled by us, not by a community forum.
- Term. Paying for three years at once fixes the price even as the lifetime of a single certificate keeps shrinking.

The service covers generating the request, installing the certificate with its intermediate chain, switching the site to HTTPS and verifying the result with an external test. Every further server costs €19.90.

DV takes 5–15 minutes after domain validation. OV takes 1–3 business days because the authority checks the company. EV takes 3–5 business days.
It is the certificate signing request, created on your server together with the private key. You can make it yourself, or order installation and we create it.
